The notification system has been fixed in the new release... we are currently processing the queue, which is upwards of 12m jobs... please bear with us while our workers chew through this large queue and get your notification / emails out. Some may come more quickly than others due to weights on the notifications themselves, but we are hoping in the next 24 hours to have all the queues cleared and all notifications delivered that had been queued up over the past few days.
Again I apologize for this inconvenience, but we are almost out of the woods as soon as we are done clear cutting some of the forest ;)

Hey Guys,
Unfortunately with our last release, and its instability, we were forced to roll back releases. Unfortunately in doing so, it would seem that our notification system has been broken somehow. Our engineers are working on this issue as quickly as possible. We hope to have a patch within the next day, so we can deploy our code and fix the notification system at the same time. Please *bear* with us ;)
Currently all notifications are being queued up so they can be processed as soon as the fix is pushed and verified to be working correctly.

But when the next semester comes around, Remus and Snape are in the same Anatomy class... along with Remus' annoying friends.

A/N: Erm, the story is not 100% correct because the University that I chose does not offer the program that you wanted, but I wanted to stay true to the prompt. Remus and Severus are Americans in this story for purposes of plot and because all I am familiar with is American college culture. This story took me many places that I had no idea about. I hope that I have lived up to your original prompt well enough, while adding a little bit of me into it.

We are watching a tonne of fests this month and trying to include a bit of everything in our daily recs, but things will often slip through the cracks. If you see a particularly excellent piece at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) snupin_santa that you would like us to consider recc'ing, feel free to send us an email or leave a comment on our latest post. (For fic, one-shots are preferred, only to save the editor's reading time).

Once again this year, I'm collecting Snupin Santa recs! Any story or art that is recced 3 times is eligible to be a Hot Rec in the Daily Snitch newsletter, which has a readership of around 550 on Insanejournal and a readership of over 4000 on Livejournal. I'll also be submitting recs to snapenews.
So if you've recced any Snupin Santa story or art, please drop me a comment here. I'll be keeping track of what's been recced how many times based on the comments I get, because unfortunately, there's no way I can scan every RL/SS shipper's journal looking for recs. If you want to see your favorites from this year's fest featured in the biggest HP fandom journal-based newsletters, you need to give me those recs!
I do need a URL that I can send to the newsletters to prove there are 3 different recs for any given story/art, so squee in email, IM, or the chatroom won't cut it.

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)
